Der Schützenverein Ossendorf ermittelt seine neue Majestät für das Jubiläumsschützenfest im 360. Jahr der Vereinsgeschichte. Das Schützenfest wird an den Pfingsttagen gefeiert.
In Ossendorf ist es gute, alte Tradition am Himmelfahrtstag den neuen Schützenkönig zu ermitteln. Der vom Ossendorfer Kindergarten bunt bemalte Holzvogel wird dazu im Umzug, der um 15:00 Uhr am Vereinslokal „Zum Hainturm“ beginnt, von den Jungschützen zum Schießstand hinter der Heinberghalle getragen. Hier können die Anwärter auf die Königswürde ihre Treffsicherheit unter Beweis stellen.
Kurz vor dem Königsschießen stellt sich das ganze Dorf auch in diesem Jahr wieder die Frage: „Wer schießt den Vogel von der Stange?“. Dem diesjährigen Schützenkönig wird dabei eine ganz besondere Ehre zu teil. Er darf sich als erster Schützenkönig in die anlässlich des 360-jährigen Bestehens neu angefertigte Königskette eingravieren lassen. Das sollte doch allen Ossendorfern ein besonderer Ansporn sein, so der Vorsitzende Heiner Geilhorn.
Selbstverständlich bieten wir neben dem spannenden Wettkampf um die Königswürde unseren Gästen auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein tolles Rahmenprogramm. Ab 15:00 Uhr wird an der Heinberghalle ein Kuchen- und Tortenbuffet eröffnet, womit wir ganz besonders unsere Frauen, Kinder und Senioren ansprechen möchten. Darüber hinaus werden wir in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal einen „Klotzkönig“ ermitteln um auch die Schützen, die noch etwas zurückhaltend auf den Königsvogel schauen, zu animieren, einen Schuss mit der Flinte abzugeben. Neben dem ernsten Hintergrund soll es aber auch einfach eine „Gaudi“ für die Schützen sein, erläutert Heiner Geilhorn.
Um 20:00 Uhr findet die Proklamation des neuen Königspaares statt. Anschließend sind alle Ossendorfer und auswärtigen Gäste eingeladen, mit dem neuen Königspaar zu den Klängen der Tanzband „No Limit“ bis in die Morgenstunden zu feiern.
